Lucas Martin

Lucas Martin is a member of our Advanced Manufacturing and Services, Private Equity, and Energy and Natural Resources practices with particular depth in the automotive industry.

He has more than 10 years of industry experience and advises both corporate and private equity clients on corporate strategy, growth strategy, commercial excellence, and cost transformation. He has expertise across the M&A continuum, from sector scans and due diligence to integration support and post-acquisition strategy. Additionally, he has extensive experience in the automotive industry having worked with suppliers, OEMs, aftermarket participants, and financial investors on the critical topics facing the industry.

His chief case work includes leading numerous strategic diligences in the industrials space, and building strategies in the automotive space that take a probabilistic approach and enable his client to navigate uncertainty in the industry. 

In addition to his client-facing roles, he is an active member of our HR team and our Veterans at Bain community.

Lucas joined the firm after serving in the US Navy as a submariner and graduating from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys skiing, hiking, running, and swimming.
