Geran Zhang

Geran is a member of our Private Equity and Healthcare & Life Sciences practices.

He works with private equity sponsors on commercial due diligence and value creation, focusing on healthcare and life sciences deals. Within healthcare, Geran has supported a range of providers—including hospitals, radiology, and cancer care—across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region on strategy, performance improvement, and large-scale transformations.

Prior to joining Bain, Geran was a Senior Scientist at AbbVie, where he worked in pharmaceutical process R&D and tech ops.

Geran holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a BE (Hons) from the University of Auckland.
