With our strong knowledge and commitment to Africa, Bain Johannesburg has served a broad range of clients across the continent’s largest, most rapidly changing sectors in almost every market. Diversity and inclusiveness are at the heart of our culture, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected while producing innovative and client-centric results. We strive to create enduring change through positive economic and social impact in both our work and pro bono initiatives. Our passion for results fosters in our communities where we directly engage in issues critical to the continent’s broad transformation agenda. At Bain Johannesburg, we invested in the growth and development of companies and communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
We’re committed to contributing to the betterment of local society and believe that what is good for Africa, is good for Bain. As a result, we work on issues that are critical to the continent, particularly efforts that improve the social and economic conditions of those in need. We focus on issues where we can ignite our passions as a Bain community, leverage our strategic capabilities, and give back wholeheartedly. Throughout the years we’ve supported those impacted by the KZN flood disaster, supported many initiatives fueled by Mandela Day, provided year-round mentorship for students of the 5Cees Orphanage, and remain committed to developing the next generation of African talent through our Bain Academy. Our social impact commitments continue to be one of the things that makes us incredibly proud.
Over the years, we've given back to our communities through fundraising, donations, and volunteering. This has included raising funds for victims of the Ukraine crisis and supporting those impacted by the KZN flood to provide emergency support to those displaced.
We've maintained our enduring, impactful partnerships with the 5Cees Orphanage that provides shelter and support for destitute children, Tomorrow Trust that supports education to vulnerable children, and Lawyers Against Abuse that provides support for victims of GBV.
We remain committed to developing the next generation of South African talent through Bain Academy and supporting Bridgespan, a global not-for-profit advisory organization that offers world class services in Africa.
In collaboration with market-leading brands, we developed a partnership with Dairy Nourishes Africa to help transform the dairy sector and build resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food systems in East Africa.
Our formula for success has been simple. Here, you'll find a high-impact, supportive culture where immensely talented people are encouraged to be brilliant at what they do.

"The major factor in my return to Bain was the culture in Johannesburg. It was easy to return because it was so warm and friendly. It felt like I was never away."

“Three best things I’ve enjoyed in Johannesburg are the friendly colleagues, the great city, and the how much is happening socially.”
