Ian Weber leads Pyxis by Bain & Co., a 65 person team representing Bain's Alternative Data analytics division. Ian founded Pyxis in 2017, which was acquired by Bain in 2019.

Ian has supported over 1,200 Bain consulting cases, focusing predominantly on B2C private equity due diligence. In addition, Ian has extensive experience engaging in strategy consulting engagements covering: restaurants, fast moving consumer goods, retail, apparel, technology and data monetization.

Under Ian's leadership, Pyxis expanded its coverage to 20 countries and introduced a suite of interactive SaaS products that provides Bain clients with near real-time information on core KPIs including: market share, market growth rates, share of wallet, price elasticity, customer loyalty and more. In addition, Pyxis represents a Bain center of excellence for the application of machine learning for data structuring and the early adoption of AI for the purposes of improving data accuracy and automated insights.

Prior to joining Bain, Ian was an analyst at a multi-strategy hedge fund in NY. Prior to that, Ian was a Vice President on the #1 Institutional Investor ranked Large Cap Banks team at Sanford Bernstein, where he co-authored 300+ reports and 3 books.

Ian graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BSE in systems engineering and a BA in Economics. He earned an MBA with honors, from Columbia Business School, as one of 40 people accepted to the Value Investing Program.

In his personal time, Ian loves traveling with his wife and is the proud parent of a young daughter.
