How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?
I’d always heard great things about Bain, which initially drew me to the company. But it wasn’t until my interviews that I truly felt the difference. Everyone I met was genuinely kind and full of positive energy. Even now, I’m still grateful (and sometimes pleasantly surprised) by how fulfilling it is to be part of Bain.
“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”
Living and working in Canada had long been a personal goal of mine. It influenced the choices I made throughout my studies and shaped the opportunities I pursued in my career.
As a recruiter, I knew how rare it was to find a company that truly invests in all its people. Including those in internal roles. That’s what made Bain stand out. From the very beginning, I was honest and vocal about my aspirations, and what I found was a company that not only listened, but actively supported me.
Of course, you need to be clear about what you want and take ownership of your path (professionally and personally). You also need to build the right network. But when you do, Bain is the kind of place that shows up for you. I’m living proof!
What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?
Take advantage of every opportunity to connect. Keep an eye out for events hosted at your school. They’re one of the best ways to get a real feel for what makes Bain unique. Culture and values are best experienced firsthand.
What should candidates know?
Case interview prep takes time, so start early! Also, don’t lose track of key recruitment cycle deadlines. Planning ahead gives you the space to put your best foot forward when it really counts.
