Role Purpose
This person will support administration related to processing the payroll of the local Australian business as well as requirements related to employees transferring between various countries.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Local & Transfers Payroll Processing
Payroll Processing
- Assist in the payroll processing of Local & Transfer employees
- Set up new employees in the payroll system
- Prepare payroll templates, including transfer and bonus payments
- Time sheet reconciliations, leave and location reporting
- Process foreign and remote allowances
- Calculate termination payments for departing employees
- Leave reconciliations, including updating parental leave and tracker
Reporting, Regulation and Ad Hoc Requirements
- Prepare monthly trackers for interstate and overseas workdays
- Prepare leave reports and other reports on an ad hoc basis
- Perform monthly payroll tax reconciliation
- Prepare foreign reporting to other offices
- Maintain G2G reporting systems and submit required data
- Respond to payroll-related queries
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on payroll matters
- Prepare Superannuation reconciliation and lodgments

- Adhoc reporting and analysis when required

Qualifications & Demonstrated Experience
Essential
- Minimum 2+ years payroll and accounting administration
- Experience in performing month end payroll related tasks
- Experience in performing calculations and meeting obligations relating to governmental and tax authorities related to compensation.
- 100% commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Experience in using third-party payroll software including Employee Self-Serve interfaces
- Advanced Excel skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
Desired but not essential
- Experience or exposure to international payroll (Especially Australia, NZ and USA)
- Experience in a professional services firm
- Experience with DataPay payroll systems
