Carsten Baumgärtner

Dr. Carsten Baumgärtner is a member of the Financial Services practice. Carsten has more than 20 years’ international consulting experience, with a focus on wholesale banking. He advises clients in the DACH and EMEA regions on growth strategies, pricing, digital and agile transformations, and restructurings as well as post-merger integrations.

Prior to joining Bain, Carsten worked as managing director and senior partner for an internationally renowned consultancy. He was responsible for the global corporate banking business, among other things.

Dr. Baumgärtner holds a degree in Business Administration from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and a  Ph.D. in Portfolio Management for Venture Capital Funds from the University of Hohenheim.
