Overview 

Consistent with Bain’s core values, the mission of the Global Safety and Security team is to enable our teams to work as safely as possible. The APAC Snr Specialist, Global Safety & Security will support a broad range of duties and responsibilities including incident response support, training support to local emergency response teams, intelligence collation and distribution in collaboration with our Intelligence Analyst for teams within the Region. This position will have regional exposure to our most important stakeholders, our travelers and response teams. This position will be based in New Delhi and will report to the Senior Regional Manager, Global Safety and Security.

Responsibilities 

 Incident response Coordination 

  • Proactive monitoring of global events to identify potential impact on our people and our business
  • Collaborate with incident response service provider to verify incident and impact to Bain
  • Coordinate, train and support Office Situation Response Teams (OSRTs) to be both mentor and manager of security and safety incidents across the region
  • De-brief after incident to improve on the response processes with service provider and internal stakeholders

 

Safety and Security Coordination

  • Support Emergency Response Teams and Programs
  • Support employee safety and security awareness initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage (as needed) security mitigation resources
  • Partner with client security teams as necessary 
  • Ensure all office response data is up to date in our systems, conducting regular checks to ensure teams are staffed, trained and granted appropriate access to systems
  • Work collaboratively as member of the Global Risk, Safety & Security team

 

Travel Risk 

  • Ensure appropriate travel preparation and risk mitigation. To include pre-travel briefings for High- Extreme risk locations
  • Travel tracking for all travelers, monitor travel to higher risk locations
  • Advise and prepare travelers, coordinating internal and external resources as necessary
  • Liaise with travelers during and post travel based on need
  • Maintain key relationship and coordination with Regional Travel Managers
  • Other duties as assigned or as circumstances dictates.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Global and/or Regional Safety & Security management, previous experience in a recognized Operations/Alarm Center role desirable 
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing new safety or security systems/technology or policy
  • Ability to function as both a leader, individual contributor and team member
  • Sound business judgment, with ability to anticipate firm needs and identify and implement practical, realistic solutions
  • Highly responsive, service-oriented individual with ability to flex schedule to support customers in various locations and time zones
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in English; ability to effectively advise at all levels of the organization and across inexperienced as well as seasoned travelers; ability to translate technical security issues into layman’s terms and the ability to speak multiple languages would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage confidential and highly sensitive information with the highest levels of discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to travel with short notice and possibly for extended periods of time
  • Ability to meet deadlines, often within tight timeframes
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
