How did you know that Bain was the right company for you?

The people and the culture are why I knew Bain was right for me. The apprenticeship model of Bainies always helping Bainies is a community of people I enjoy being around. This is not a competitive environment where people bring you down, but it's a positive environment where people lift you up! Bain's culture is unparalleled and I'm grateful to be here!

Do you feel like you can do impactful work at Bain? What opportunities excite you?

Recruiting is impactful to Bain because our people are our greatest asset and what makes clients enjoy working with us. I love being able to help share the future of Bain by recruiting the best and the brightest to Bain Texas. Coaching and mentoring give me a lot of energy and I love being a thought-partner with our school teams to help strategize how to make a career at Bain a reality to students all over Texas and beyond.

“Build Your Own Bain” means creating a thriving career on your own terms. How have you been able to “Build Your Own Bain?”

I joined Bain through the ADvantage program during my PhD at Rice University. I started as a consultant and did some reflecting about what gives me the most energy. After chatting with family and friends, recruiting was the natural next step and I'm so grateful I was given the opportunity to pivot. Here, I can really "build my own Bain" and make the experience specific to my needs. Bain Texas is unique and Bain Houston is very special and I look forward to what the future holds!

Share some of your favorite work (personal or professional) you’ve done while at Bain.

Due to my consultant background I am proud of creating tools and resources our consultants can leverage to help them identify top talent during the recruiting process. Tools such as feedback forms, directories, resource guides, etc. allow our consultants to spend less time on administrative details and more time making deep connections.

What advice would you give a candidate who is interested in recruiting for consulting?

Advice I would give students interested in consulting is that depth is better than breadth when it comes to making connections. Just chat with 2-3 people at first to get a feel for Bain and then redirect your focus to case prep. Quality over quantity is how Bain has been able to maintain delivering results to our clients and that approach should be used for recruiting as well!
