We invite curious, motivated undergraduate and graduate students in their second year or beyond to join our case study workshop. Work with a diverse team, experience consulting firsthand, and see if this path is right for you.

This weekend is all about discovering what a future in consulting could look like by solving real challenges, meeting inspiring people, and learning new skills in a collaborative, fun environment. How to apply for this program

We welcome curious, motivated undergraduate and graduate students from across Europe and the Middle East to apply. Whether you're studying business, engineering, technology, or something entirely different — if you're excited by problem-solving and making a positive impact, this program is for you. We’re especially looking for students with strong academic performance, sharp analytical thinking and/or tech-savviness, a collaborative mindset and a desire to grow.

In what language will the event be held?
This event will be held in English, to accommodate participants from a wide range of countries.

Which country should I apply to?
Please select the office that you are most interested in and apply with them, and only apply to one office at a time. Please note that some countries will require fluency in the local language.
- For Spain, you must be fluent in Spanish
- For the Netherlands, you must be fluent in Dutch
- For Poland, fluency in English and one of the Central and Easter European (CEE) languages is required

Do I need a background in consulting or business to apply?
Nope! Bainworks is designed for students from all academic backgrounds — including those with no prior experience in consulting. We’ll provide all the materials and guidance you need to succeed during the workshop.

I have a tech/engineering background — is this for me?
Absolutely. We're looking for students who think analytically and enjoy solving problems, whether you're studying computer science, engineering, economics, or something entirely different. Many of our consultants come from STEM backgrounds!

If I’m a CEMS student, can I also apply?
CEMS students starting their CEMS MIM in fall 2026 in one of the countries listed above are welcome to apply.

What costs will I incur by participating?
Bain will cover all costs associated with joining this event.

Will I receive feedback on my performance during the event?
Yes, you’ll receive feedback from your team trainers to help you learn and grow from the experience.
Please note that if you were not selected to participate in the program, you will not receive feedback on your application.

How competitive is the selection process?
While Bainworks is selective, don’t let that discourage you. We’re not just looking at grades — we value curiosity, creativity, and the desire to make an impact. If you're interested, go for it!

Does an invitation to the event qualify me for an internship or full-time position?
It does not. However, it is a wonderful first step towards better understanding management consulting, and how to apply.

If I’m rejected from Bainworks, am I also rejected from applying to other positions?

What does the case study consist of?
The case study workshop is a hands-on challenge based on real Bain projects. You’ll work in a team to come up with ideas, explore solutions, and present your thinking — no prior consulting experience needed.
